This sample IRS tax audit notice was sent to one of our members. IRS Letter CP21E tells the taxpayer that as a result of his or her recent audit, the IRS changed his or her Form 1040. The taxpayer can see the copy of his or her audit report for a detailed explanation of the changes. For this particular taxpayer, the result is the taxpayer doesn't owe the IRS any money, nor is he or she due a refund.
